Eligibility

General Requirements

Applicant must be aged 21 years or above at the time of application

Demonstrable proof of financial means through fixed deposit placement

Valid passport with minimum 12 months validity

Clean criminal record (police clearance certificate required)

Medical examination from an approved Malaysian healthcare provider

Medical insurance coverage valid in Malaysia

No history of deportation or immigration violations in Malaysia or other countries

Required Documents Checklist

Personal Documents

  • Valid passport (all pages, minimum 12 months validity)
  • Passport-sized photographs (recent, white background)
  • Birth certificate or equivalent age proof
  • Marriage certificate (if including spouse)
  • Children's birth certificates (if including dependents)

Financial Documents

  • Bank statements (last 3–6 months) showing sufficient funds
  • Proof of fixed deposit placement (or commitment letter)
  • Income proof or pension statements (for retirees)
  • Investment portfolio statements (if applicable)
  • Letter of good standing from current bank

Legal & Health Documents

  • Police clearance certificate from country of origin (and residence if different)
  • Medical examination report from approved Malaysian clinic/hospital
  • Medical insurance policy covering Malaysia
  • Letter of no objection (if applicable)
  • Sponsor letter or recommendation (for some categories)

Property Documents (if applicable)

  • Property purchase agreement or Sale & Purchase Agreement (SPA)
  • Property valuation report
  • Land title or strata title documentation
  • Developer confirmation letter (for new developments)
